When a client answers your questionnaire with, “I’ll let you work your magic,” you know it’s a perfect match, and I always love traveling home for sessions! This Fuquay-Varina family session was touch and go up until the last minute. The weather all week was rainy and it poured the night before. They called for more rain that evening but it cleared long enough for us to capture some amazing images. Laura is a talented photographer and her precious family was the absolute best to spend time with! I will admit it’s always a little intimidating when a fellow professional in the industry asks to do a session. But it’s also such a huge compliment and I was honored she chose me. It was such a fun night! I love how the overcast weather created an intimate feeling in the surrounding greenery. What you can’t see in the background were bunches of lightening bugs and two donkeys that were milling around beside the pond…such an interesting audience 🙂 These are some of my favorites from their laid back family session.
Quaint little small town coffee spots are my jam. My son enjoys this one every time we’re in Little Washington. The Coffee Caboose is located at a bend in the road on a quiet street in the historic district. There’s a 3 table limit on the patio, although I’ve never seen them remotely full, and a full artisan coffee with home made baked goods menu. It’s on the light side but perfect for a slow morning or lazy afternoon. My 11 year old loves the Italian sodas with cream and a chocolate muffin on the side 🙂 We prefer to enjoy them outside with the butterflies and bees where we can, in true Southern fashion, say hi to everyone that walks by on the sidewalk 🙂
